Our faculty and students are working to promote the expanded use of clean and safe nuclear energy. Research in the General Atomics Center focuses on the science and technology for the next generation of nuclear fuels, materials and waste forms that are yet more robust and economical.
The Center is made possible, in part, through a major gift from San Diego-based General Atomics, a leading nuclear technology company, with additional support from Progress Energy and the Studsvik Energy Fund.
